Beschreibung

It’s Time to Move is a striking contemporary oil painting on canvas, measuring 100 x 120 cm, and part of a new painterly phase in Katharina Rubin’s artistic work. The piece combines a strong feminine presence, a sense of motion, and the emotional intensity that defines the artist’s visual language.

The figure is captured in a moment of inner decision — somewhere between stillness and movement, between lived experience and the courage to move forward. The dynamic composition, flowing hair, powerful posture, and the bold sole of the shoe create an image of independence, strength, and personal freedom. The inscription “It’s Time to Move”becomes an integral part of the work — a quiet but unmistakable statement of transformation.

In daylight, the painting appears raw, expressive, and charged with tension. Under UV light, it reveals a second presence — vivid, neon-like, and almost electric — giving the work a dual energy and a particularly strong visual impact.

This is an original artwork for collectors seeking art with attitude: contemporary, feminine, bold, and instantly memorable.

Artist’s Note
It’s Time to Move is one of several works from my new oil series, in which emotion speaks louder than pure aesthetics. These paintings are not only about visual beauty, but about intensity, reflection, and everything that breaks open when life can no longer be contained.

As an artist, I experience deeply everything that touches me. In this series, “move” is not only a symbol of motion, but of transition into another state of awareness, another inner dimension. The last ten years have taught me a great deal, and perhaps that is why I created seven works that almost cry out with emotion. They carry what has built up over time, what happened recently, and what finally emerged like something breaking out of a cocoon.

Political events, personal experiences, and inner transformation all enter this body of work. I believe artists have a responsibility to give voice to those who are unheard and to approach difficult subjects not with aggression, but with art. Art should touch what is painful without tearing wounds open — it should invite reflection, presence, and depth.
